I'm working up the first 20 pages of The Otherwalls for a creative writing postgraduate I'm applying for in 2010. It's got to be in soon, so I'm working hard!

It's a strange experience editing, not one I'm used to. I've been struggling with it, but it's definitely getting easier as I get used to it an put the difficulties into context. I'm used to coming up against this kind of disappointment in my ability with my illustration, but or some reason I find it 10 times more difficult to bring myself out of it when it's my words. I'm not sure if it's just because I haven't spent as much time crafting or sharing them as I have my illustration.

I am feeling better about it now that I'm back working properly on the edit, so I hope it passes. The class is pretty competitive to get into, so I want to make sure I'm presenting the best side of the Otherwalls I possibly can!
